How to play
Taco Cat Games Stack Nabbit Push Your Luck Card Game
3 to 6 players, age 7 and up.
We designed Stack Nabbit for 3 to 6 players, ages 7 and up, playing in about 10 minutes. In our game, you draw cards from the deck, push your luck to secure a number you want, steal matching cards from your neighbors and the Vault, and bank your sets before someone takes them from you.
Setup
Our deck contains 105 cards, with 15 of each number from 0 to 6. Shuffle the deck and place it face down in the center of the table as the Draw Pile. Draw two cards and place them face up next to the deck to form the Vault; stack them if they share the same number. Next, each player draws two cards and places them face up in their personal area, stacking identical numbers together.
Drawing Cards
The oldest player starts, and turns move clockwise. On your turn, flip cards face up from the Draw Pile one at a time. After each card you reveal, you may stop and keep that most recent card, or choose to draw again. If you draw a fifth card, you must stop immediately and keep that fifth card.
Stealing and Banking
Take all cards matching your kept card from the player to your left, the player to your right, and the Vault. Add your kept card and the stolen cards to your face-up collection. If your kept card matches a number you already had face up before this turn, you bank that set by turning all your cards of that number face down. Banked cards cannot be stolen. Finally, place any other cards you drew this turn into the Vault, sorted by number.
Game End and Scoring
When someone draws the final card from the Draw Pile, they finish their turn and the game ends. All players move their remaining face-up cards into their score piles alongside their banked cards. The Vault is ignored. Each player adds the face values of all cards in their score pile. The player with the most zeroes earns a 30-point bonus, with tied players each receiving 30 points. The highest total score wins, and ties share victory.
