We designed Oh No Banana Joe as a fast memory duel. Players memorize a row of hidden tasks beneath numbered cover cards before the judge begins flipping the deck. When a number card appears, two players race head to head to recall and perform the right action or shout the right verbal answer to win the stack.

How to play, step by step

Memorize and coverEach player sets out five task cards and memorizes what is on them before covering each one with a numbered card. Once covered, you have to remember which action sits under which number when the judge flips that number.

Actions and verbal tasksThe deck splits between physical motions and verbal prompts. You might need to place your thumb on your nose or name an ice cream flavor on the spot, all while trying to finish before the opponent sitting across from you.

Table size and ageThe box lists ages 7 and up and seats 3 to 6 players. Two players contest the active duel while the remaining players watch the action or wait for their own numbers to turn up.

Ten minute roundsA full game runs about 10 minutes. The quick turnaround lets players swap their five hidden cards, reorder the numbered covers, and reset for another round immediately.
