How to play
Bing Bang Boom Card Game
2 to 6 players, age 7 and up.
We created Bing Bang Boom as a fast-paced card game for 2 to 6 players, ages 7 and up. Each round is a quick race to launch matches across four launch pads. With five copies of twelve character cards in our deck and only four spots on the table, players scramble to call out Bing, Bang, and Boom before someone gets stuck holding the Dud.
Setup and Components
Our game includes 60 character cards, five each of twelve different characters, and 4 launch pads labeled START, BING, BANG, and BOOM. Place the four launch pads in the center of the table. We shuffle the deck and deal all cards face down evenly to all players. Keep your cards face down without looking at them until the round starts. Players cannot sort or reorder cards in their hands at any point. Younger players who find holding cards difficult may lay them out in two piles or face up.
Launching Cards
The youngest player begins by flipping the top card from their pile face up onto the START launch pad while saying the character name out loud. Once that card hits the pad, all players, including the starting player, pick up their cards to find a match. The first person to find matching art plays it on the BING pad while saying BING. Play moves immediately to the BANG pad as the next player plays a match and says BANG. The next player to find a match drops it onto the BOOM pad and says BOOM.
The Dud and Next Rounds
Because there are five copies of each character and only four launch pads, one player will be left holding the fifth matching card. This leftover card is the Dud. The player stuck with the Dud places it face up on the table in front of them for the rest of the game. That player then starts the next round by flipping their top card onto the START pad. If that player is out of cards, the player to their left takes the first turn instead.
Winning and Ties
Play continues until all cards have been played. The player with the fewest Duds wins the game. If there is a tie, play a sudden death round. Shuffle the entire deck and split it evenly among the tied players. The youngest tied player starts the round on the START pad. The player who does not end up with the Dud wins the tiebreaker.
Two-Player Variation
When playing with two players, remove three full sets of character cards from the deck, for a total of 15 cards removed. Shuffle the remaining 45 cards and deal them evenly to play the game with standard rules.
